Make a big difference in so many children’s lives. Become a counselor at Camp Max Straus. Become a mentor and give children the attention they deserve in a fun outdoor environment.
We are hiring the following staff positions:
Cabin Counselors, Head Counselors, Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructors, Assistant Wrangler, Backpacking Trip Leaders, Nature Specialist, Arts & Crafts Specialist, Music and Dance Specialist, Drama Specialist, Archery Specialist, Ranch and Garden,Team Buidling, Camp Administrative Office Assistant, Kitchen Staff and Maintenance.
We maintain a high staff to camper ratio. Cabin groups consist of ten children and two counselors. In addition to room and board, staff receive compensation for the summer with the possibility of a completion bonus as well.
Camp Max Straus is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has provided a quality camping experience for the underserved children of Los Angeles County since 1938.
