About Us

We’ve been showing up since 1915.

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters is a proud member of the national Big Brothers Big Sisters network.

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles connects youth across LA with mentors, camp experiences, and college support. We started over 100 years ago with a simple idea: every kid does better when a caring adult is paying attention. That idea turned into 1,645 young people served last year alone.

Our Mission

Rooted in Jewish values. Built for every family that needs us.

The mission of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles is to assist youth in achieving their full potential through innovative, impactful mentorship programs.

Through mentorship, camp, and ongoing support, we help youth in Los Angeles build confidence, connection, and a stronger future.

Our Story

111 years. One mission. A lot of Sunday bagels.

In 1915, a group of volunteers in Los Angeles started matching Jewish youth with caring adults. The idea was simple: show up for a kid, and keep showing up. That was the whole plan.

Today, 131 staff members serve 1,645 young people each year through mentorship, camp experiences and college scholarships.
