Big Sister

My name is Hannah, and I became Betty’s Big in 2024 when I was 25 years old. I signed up because, in my mind, I thought that being a Big would be fun. And it absolutely is! But
getting to spend time with Betty, doing things that we both enjoy, helping her gain confidence in herself, offering support, and seeing her grow into a young woman right before my eyes will always be a highlight in my life.

I am also tremendously grateful for the small part I played in making Betty’s B’Nai Mitzvah happen. One of the first things I learned about Betty was how important being a Bat Mitzvah was to her. Upon speaking to my close friend (a rabbi) about this, he offered to support the twins in preparing for their B’Nai Mitzvah and hold the event at his temple. I am so proud of Betty and her brother for connecting with their Jewish identity and accomplishing such an achievement. And I am overwhelmingly grateful to have been a part of it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
